Nagarkot is a small village which is approx 35 km from Kathmandu. We stayed at Mount Paradise hotel which is not actually a hotel but a kind of home retreat.
If you are in Kathmandu and planning to go to some naural place within few hours then Nagarkot is the best place to visit.
About the Place
Nagarkot commands one of the broadest views of the Himalayas in the Kathmandu valley (8 Himalayan ranges of Nepal out of 13 from here). The ranges include Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh himal range, Langtang range, Jugal range, Rolwaling range, Mahalangur range (Everest range) and Numbur range with views of the Kathmandu valley and Shivapuri National Park.

There is no such points of interests around this village but you can walk and enjoy the natural views of Himalayas. We stayed here for 1 night and it was really a very great experience. The owner of this property is a very nice person and is always ready to help you out. The place is not expensive at all and you can get a room around Rs 1000 (INR) easily. Rooms are clean but do not expect any luxury treatment. You can walk around the corn gardens and can also see a few other vegetables and flowers. Car is easily reachable inside the hotel and there is ample space for parking.
There are only a few hotels and home stays around this small village and you can choose any of them, depends on your budget and requirements.Enjoy a few more pics of this place
