Alleppey (Alappuzha) Houseboats & Backwaters is one of the main attractions in Kerala tourism. If you are visiting Kerala then it is a must do. On my 4th day of my journey, I started from Munnar on 8th August at around 6-7 am. Munnar to
Alleppey was around 200 km and took 3- 4 hours to reach to Allepey.
As it was 8th of August 2015, which was the day of Nehru Trophy Boat Race
(Also called as Snake Race of Kerala) that happens once in a year.
(The Nehru Trophy Boat Race is a popular Vallam Kali held in the Punnamada Lake near Alappuzha, Kerala). Check out some pics that I have taken before and after the race. I will post Snake Race pictures in the next post.

Awesome view of boats |
The Kerala Backwaters are a network of interconnected canals, rivers, lakes and inlets, a system formed by more than 900 km of waterways. There were different villages & different routes which were connected to boats on the Backwaters of Kerala, every route has different view and has its own scenic beauty. It was really an awesome experience to be there on a wonderful land of backwaters. The experience was really incredible. I can't forget the beauty of amazing Kerala.
