Nigeen Lake (Nagin Lake, Srinagar) Popularly known as the "Jewel in the Ring", which is a non commercial and peaceful lake in Srinagar. Nigeen Laken is not at all commercialized like Dal Lake. It was really beautiful to stay in Houseboat (Akbar Group Of Heritage Houseboats), which was really awesome & owned by a very nice person Adnan. If you are coming to Srinagar, you must stay in Nigeen Lake. Excellent place to stay overnight. I have captured many photographs and tried to cover Sunset to Sunrise with my mobile and SLR camera. It was the month of May, we (me & my partner) have visited the lakes. All these pics are taken from Houseboat balcony area.
Some Information & Tips About Nigeen Lake
- This is the best & A non commercial Lake in Srinagar Kashmir!
- This lake is not far from Dal lake (8-10 KM) and is also connected to it via a narrow strait.
- It took 1 hour to reach to Lake from Srinagar Airport.
- There are not many houseboats on this lake which makes it peaceful and unique & away from tourist crowd hassle.
- You can easily book night stay on any houseboat via online.
